Biography

Rebecca is currently the Senior Program Manager at Tulane University in the Office of Academic Enrichment. Rebecca works closely with her team to ensure the successful implementation of programming engaging with sophomores, juniors, and seniors attending Tulane. Prior to joining Tulane, Rebecca was the Director of Education for The New Orleans Culinary and Hospitality Institute (NOCHI). NOCHI provides an accelerated certificate program in culinary and baking and pastry arts as well as professional development and enthusiast courses for cooks of all skill levels. Before NOCHI, Rebecca co-founded RemoteMD: Education & Training, formerly known as Remote Medical Education, to address the educational needs of the industrial remote environment medical specialists (IREMS) where she brought clinical care and new educational opportunities to the offshore medical team. After returning to her hometown of New Orleans, Louisiana in 2006, she joined Louisiana State University (LSU) as the President of the LSU Health Sciences Center Institute of Professional Education. There she managed the LSU School of Medicine, New Orleans’ continuing medical education program. She began her career in continuing medical education at Education | Outcomes | Science (EOS), formerly known as The Health Sciences Center for Continuing Medical Education, in New York City where she had the opportunity to work with a wide range of pharmaceutical companies such as Novartis Pharmaceuticals, Pfizer, Merck and Genentech.

Biography

Rosie Yates serves as the Director of Academic Enrichment. Rosie earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Anthropology and Religious Studies from Elon University, a Master of Arts degree in Higher Education from Louisiana State University, and a Master of Liberal Arts degree from Tulane University. She has been at Tulane for the past 5.5 years in various roles within Newcomb Tulane College, including most recently as the Assistant Director in the Office of First-Year Experience. In addition to her work in NTC, Rosie is a Posse Mentor for the New Orleans 10 Posse, providing guidance and support to ten talented rising juniors. Rosie is the proud parent of two wonderful children and enjoys exploring the Marvel cinematic multiverse with her husband.

Biography

Prior to joining the Academic Enrichment team, Justin spent eight years at Bard Early College New Orleans, a satellite campus of Bard College for New Orleans students, where he served as Dean of Students and Poetry Club Advisor. Justin received his B.S. in Communication at Boston University and his M.F.A in Creative Writing at the University of New Orleans. As the Senior Program Manager of Sophomore Engagement, he looks forward to working with students as they navigate this powerful moment in their academic careers and lives. He believes in the importance of academic enrichment for all students and sees sophomore year as a pivotal time for collegiate exploration and self-discovery. Justin is a National Poetry Slam Champion with Team Slam New Orleans and a co-founder of the New Orleans Youth Open Mic and enjoys reading, writing and discovering new music during his free time.
