
Sophomore September is a month-long series of events and pop ups designed to welcome you back to campus and highlight MORE opportunities to explore! Some of the events listed on our Sophomore September calendar are open to all students and recommended for sophomores. Other events, such as our Sophomore September “signature events,” are specifically designed for you and your classmates.
We will have free food and class-branded merch at all of the following “signature events,” and sophomores will have the opportunity to earn 2026 sweatpants by attending three or more of the happenings bulleted below:
Signature Events
- Friday, 9/1: Sophomore September Kickoff at Front Porch Friday
Come find us at the Office of Academic Enrichment (OAE) table in front of Cudd Hall from 10:30 am – 12:00 pm to celebrate the start of Sophomore September and pick up your 2026 shirt and sweatpants stamp card! - Wednesday, 9/6: Grant Information Session
- Saturday, 9/16: Tremé Day: Tour & Lunch
Space for this trip is limited. Submit a registration form to reserve your spot. Reservations are available on a first-come, first-serve basis. - Tuesday, 9/19: Lagniappe Lunch + Speed Majoring
Join us in the Cudd Hall Lobby from 12:00 – 2:00 pm to pick up a complimentary lunch and participate in some fun, accelerated chats to explore your major options. - Friday, 9/29: Resources, Refreshments, & (Sopho)MORE
Sophomore September Photo Scavenger Hunt
Attending Sophomore September events isn’t the only way to win this month! Participants in our first annual Sophomore September Photo Scavenger Hunt will have the opportunity to win special New Orleans-themed tote bags and class-branded merch. Looking Ahead
Following Sophomore September, we’ll host the first Sophomore Summit in October! To register as a participant or speaker (limited spots available) and/or to learn more, review and complete the presenter application/participant registration form.
